Spirituality, religion, and culture play an important role in health and healing. Health care systems and health care professionals must recognize and understand a variety of spiritual and religious values, beliefs, and practices and their impact on health and healing. To meet the needs of a spiritually and culturally diverse client population, today's health care system is evolving in its approach.

The outcome of this course is for the learner to describe the characteristics of spirituality, the connection between spirituality and healing, and the essential elements of spirituality.

Certificate of Completion Courses = This is a self-paced online course with 24/7 online access for the course duration.

Students Must Select an Instruction Type:

Instructor Moderated = Courses are NOT live/online with an instructor and have no set time to log in for classes. Students are encouraged to participate in weekly discussions, ask questions, and interact with their instructors and fellow students through an online discussion area.

Self-Guided (3-month access) = Discussion board is NOT available to converse with the instructor.

Completion: Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to print their certificate of completion and/or save an electronic copy of it.
