This course will teach you the fundamental techniques that all successful technical writers use. You will learn how to translate complex information into easily understood language, and how to become a wizard at marrying the art of publishing with the science of technology.

You will also learn the secrets of successful technical writers, including technical writing conventions, interviewing skills, desktop publishing and formatting techniques, key tips for developing graphics and templates, documentation management, and how to publish documents both on paper and electronically.

Instructor Moderated= Courses are NOT live/online with an instructor and have no set time to log in for classes. Students are encouraged to participate in weekly discussions, ask questions, and interact with their instructors and fellow students through an online discussion area.

Self-Guided (3-month access) = Discussion board is NOT available to converse with the instructor.

Completion: Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to print their certificate of completion and/or save an electronic copy of it.
