This course guides you through the search process for family names using several subscription-based websites, which you can access while enrolled in this class.
You will learn through hands-on examples that help you dig deeper into your family's past. You will develop a strategy to accomplish your objectives, evaluate the results, and share that information with others. You will discover where to look, who to contact, and how to make your family history come alive!
This is a self-paced online course with 24/7 online access for the course duration.
Instructor Moderated (6-Week Access) = Courses are NOT live/online with an instructor and have no set time to log in for classes. Students are encouraged to participate in weekly discussions, ask questions, and interact with their instructors and fellow students through an online discussion area.
Self-Guided (3 Month Access) = Discussion board is NOT available to converse with the instructor.
Completion: Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to print their certificate of completion and/or save an electronic copy of it.
