Kien Lim
Dr. Kien Lim is an associate professor at UTEP. He applies the teachings of the Buddha to his work as a math educator. He has published two articles: Using Equations to Think about Karma and Blending Mathematics Teaching with Kindness. He started an informal group for UTEP faculty and staff to meet regularly to cultivate kindness. He has been volunteering since 2015 at the Otero County Prison Facility to help inmates cultivate kindness and mindfulness.
