From Alpha Behn's anti-slavery novel to the post-apocalyptic world to Ayn Rand's Anthem, this class will read works by such female authors as Jane Austen and Willa cather, covering the time period from the 1660s to the twentieth century.

Mimi Gladstein
Mimi Gladstein is a professor of English and Theatre Arts, the author of five books and co-editor of two. She was also a founding member and the first director of UTEP's Women's Studies Program, has taught several OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) classes through the years and been on OLLI's board.
