Campers in this space academy will explore the mysteries of the solar system and go on a fantastic space adventure to learn about comets, stars, black holes, planets, space life, craters and the moon. They will discover the science behind rockets and launch their own air-powered rockets, investigate how a solar oven works, try astronaut food, build a mini-spacecraft, take pictures with the sun’s rays, design a lunar rover, and experience space adventures like never before.

Grysell Ramos
Grysell Ramos received her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso. She has been a lecturer at UTEP, as well as a laboratory and research coordinator, and has taught organismal/human biology, and vertebrate physiology methods. She has developed courses for P3 that focus on active student learning using hands-on activities; her classes are interesting and understandable.
