Becoming a new supervisor can be a challenging task.
In this course, we will discuss what kind of leader you want to be and frame your leadership style. In addition, we will explore cultures within teams and learn how to cultivate a workplace that is inclusive and productive through building engagement and their ability to be effective and learn how feedback and having critical conversations can be demonstrated for your teams to be at their best.

This course will be held on live/online. An email with course information will be sent to students approximately 1-3 days prior to the start date of class.

COURSE WITHDRAWAL: Refunds will be issued, minus a 15% cancellation fee per course, cost of materials, and/or lab fees, if a written request is faxed, emailed, or mailed and received three or more business days prior to the first day of a scheduled course. Refund requests must include your name, daytime telephone number, and the course number or name. This policy applies to all registrations, regardless of the payment method. Phone requests will not be accepted for a refund.Exceptions for refunds: There are no refunds for online courses. Other refund policies may apply to Conferences, Customized Training & Services, and other special programs.
NOTE: Please allow 2 -3 weeks for processing of refunds. No refunds will be given on or after the first-class meeting. Cancellations 1-3 days before first class meeting incur a 50% cancellation fee. A $25 fee will be charged for returned or canceled checks. Fred Perea
Fred Perea has over ten years of experience in Human Resources Leadership. His focus is leading organizations and their HR teams and he specializes in employee relations, organizational development, and leadership consultation. Perea understands the unique dynamics of teams and provides leadership-level guidance to nonprofit, public, and private sector organizations. He is PHR and SHRM-CP certified and received a graduate degree from The University of Texas at El Paso, and his undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University. Perea is currently the Human Resources Director for TFCU and oversees the organization's HR and training and development initiatives; he has also provided HR consultation services to various departments at The Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and UTEP. For the past six years, Perea has taught P3's Essentials of Human Resources Management course which has been certified by the National Society for Human Resources Management.
