Viva la Salud College of Health Sciences 5th Annual Health Disparities Conference

The College of Health Sciences hosts the annual Viva la Salud Health Disparities Conference to promote community collaboration aimed at improving health outcomes in our medically underserved region. The conference provides opportunities to develop and strengthen partnerships between community health experts and the College of Health Sciences’ faculty, highlighting the College’s diverse research and service profile. Each year, nationally renowned health disparities researchers are invited as keynote speakers. The conference showcases faculty and student research conducted both in the laboratory and in the community. It also initiates conversations about regional health disparities with community leaders and stakeholders through an invited panel discussion. The Viva la Salud Health Disparities Conference is open to community members, UTEP faculty, staff, and students.
