Put on your goggles, it's time for chemistry fun! In this hands-on camp, young chemists will safely explore the exciting world of chemistry through colorful, kid-friendly experiments. Campers will mix and create glowing reactions, gigantic water beads, silly putty, super bouncy balls, soaps, instant snow, and mysterious goo that seems to move on its own. Along the way, campers will be introduced to basic chemistry ideas such as atoms, molecules, acids and bases, polymers, and chemical reactions through experiments that fizz, pop, and sparkle. This camp is perfect for curious kids who love mixing, creating, and discovering how science works.
Notes:
Student must bring their own snacks and beverages.

Grysell Ramos
Grysell Ramos received her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso. She has been a lecturer at UTEP, as well as a laboratory and research coordinator, and has taught organismal/human biology, and vertebrate physiology methods. She has developed courses for P3 that focus on active student learning using hands-on activities; her classes are interesting and understandable.
