Sometimes we all need to be reminded that OLLI is a community and each member's actions affects the community at large.
Please be mindful of these points.
Honor your registration decision. If you registered to take a class in-person, attend your classes in-person. Do not jump between in-person and ZOOM or just decide to take all the classes via ZOOM. Notify the OLLI office if there are extenuating circumstances as to why you cannot attend in-person.
If you enroll in a class and will be absent or will need to drop the class completely, please let the OLLI staff know.
Be on time for classes. Arriving or signing in late disrupts the flow of the class. Try not to leave the class once it begins.
SILENCE your cell phone or mute your ZOOM if you are not immediately asking a question or commenting on the discussion. No talking or texting during class.
For in-person participation, be sure your attendance is recorded with the host before you leave class. Class attendance impacts whether a class will be repeated, or an instructor will be asked to teach again.
Respect the instructor as well as other students. Keep your questions and comments brief, timely, respectful, and on topic.
Honor your class schedule. If you did not get a class you wanted, do not just attend anyway. Speak with the OLLI staff to see if there may be room for you after class begins.
Out of respect for the OLLI staff and other OLLI participants, please do not attend OLLI classes or functions if you are not feeling well.
Please be neat and tidy. If you spill something, clean it up. If you drop something, pick it up. Utilize the recycle bin properly. Place napkins cups, and other debris in the trash receptacle. OLLI does not have any cleaning staff. Help us keep the lounge clean.
