Watch and listen to videos of Schumann's Symphony #2, and selections from the operas of Richard Wagner and Bruckner’s Symphony #6. The instructor, Steve Schiller, will discuss and demonstrate the musical details of these great works and will also discuss his personal experiences performing these works as an orchestral trumpet player. Robert Schumann was influenced by Beethoven; Wagner was influenced by Beethoven and Schumann; and Anton Bruckner was influenced by the aforementioned three who preceded him. These 3 composers bridge the Classical era of music through Early Romantic and into the Late Romantic era.
