Learn safe mobility techniques to help transfer (move) someone from a bed to a wheelchair and/or walker, wheelchair and/or walker to a commode, wheelchair and/or walker to a car, and more. Learn to develop your own strength, use of proper transfer techniques, appropriate use of “gait belts,” and proper body mechanics to avoid injury to yourself and to your loved one. This is a 3-week course with classes on 4/4, 4/11 and 4/25.
