This is the perfect class for kids who love animals and have an interest in veterinary science! From exotic animals like snakes and lizards to the furry animals like mice and gerbils, we explore how to take proper care of them all. We will cover some cool veterinary skills like reading X-rays, identifying internal parasites, giving animals medication, basic animal examinations-how to take temperature, check ears, eyes and teeth and watch an interesting animal surgery.

Grysell Ramos
Grysell Ramos received her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso. She has been a lecturer at UTEP, as well as a laboratory and research coordinator, and has taught organismal/human biology, and vertebrate physiology methods. She has developed courses for P3 that focus on active student learning using hands-on activities; her classes are interesting and understandable.
