Get ready to have a blast with some explosive, colorful and sparkling chemistry experiments! We will cover the science behind fireworks, edible 3-color density columns, magic milk fireworks, high-flying paper rockets, tri-color slime, dry ice smoke rings and crazy, festive red, white and blue soda explosions as we learn about the scientific principles behind them. Join us as in fun experiments with unique heat, color, light and temperature changes.

Grysell Ramos
Grysell Ramos received her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso. She has been a lecturer at UTEP, as well as a laboratory and research coordinator, and has taught organismal/human biology, and vertebrate physiology methods. She has developed courses for P3 that focus on active student learning using hands-on activities; her classes are interesting and understandable.
