This course is designed for ESL students who need vocabulary development and practice with clear
writing style. It focuses on basic sentence construction and emphasizes grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and composition.

Students read academic texts appropriate for their level, learn what is expected of writers in American universities, and develop their skills in writing assignments and projects. Vocabulary training is covered in all levels.

Note: A placement test is required for the following courses; an additional fee of $35 will apply.

Please take note of the following as you prepare for your placement test:

1. Make sure you have a stable internet connection (preferably wired internet connection).

2. Make sure you have a headphone with a microphone before you open the link.

3. You must allocate about 50 minutes in a quiet environment to take the test.

4. The test must be completed in one sitting.

5. The test will let me know your proficiency - so please do it just by yourself without any help from anyone.
