This is a personal weight training program, designed for anyone who wants to maintain their fitness level, reduce body fat, reduce the risk and rate of injury, and/or use exercise to combat stress. Students will learn how to develop and/or maintain a healthy body by working with weights, elastic bands, and their own body weight. In addition, the course incorporates circuit training, cardio, endurance, strength, flexibility, and cycling to provide a well-rounded fitness experience..

Josue Lopez

Josue David Lopez worked for the Recreational Sports Department at UTEP and retired after 25 years. Lopez received a Bachelor in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at El Paso and graduated with a B.S. in May 2005. He has several memberships and certifications including: American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD), National Intramural-Recreation Sports Association (NIRSA), Red Cross CPR First Aid and American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer (1999). Lopez is also a member of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).
