All-Stars - Essentials of Shooting and Ball Handling (Grades 6th - 8th)

This course is for students who should have a basic understanding of the game of basketball and students focus more on the development of individual skills. This sports training will concentrate on ball handling, passing, right and left-hand lay-ups, shooting fundamentals, basic offensive & defensive stance.

Students must bring their own water bottle.

Your account profile must show the P3 Recreational ID Card either in your cart or in your account history.  Once verified in your cart or account history, you'll be able to add the swimming course to your cart for payment.

Please be aware that all participants are required to purchase a new P3 Recreational ID Card. If you have a P3 Recreational ID Card from a previous course, you do not need to purchase another P3 Recreational ID Card.

All basketball participants must purchase a P3 Recreational ID Card to enter the Student Recreation Center.

The P3 Recreational ID Card is a one-time non-refundable fee of $15.

Registration will be closed 5 days prior to the beginning of the class.

P3 Recreational ID Card:

All basketball participants must purchase a P3 Recreational ID Card to enter the Student Recreation Center. P3 Recreational ID Card can be used for future paid basketball courses as long as it is for the same person. The P3 Recreational ID Card is offered for a one-time fee of $15. If the card is lost, the participant will have to pay a replacement fee of $15.

Purchased cards will be provided on the first day of the class. Access to the Student Recreation Center will be granted only to those who have registered for the basketball course and pre-paid for their card.

Payment cannot be made at the Student Recreational Center.

If you are not able to attend the first day of class, you must pick up your P3 Recreational ID Card at the Professional and Public Programs office located at Memorial Gym, Room 111, between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, in order to access the Student Recreation Center facility.

Important Notice:

P3 Recreational ID Card:

• Usable ONLY during the times and dates of the purchased course
• Activated 15 minutes prior to their scheduled course
• Grants access only to the basketball court area and not other areas in the Student Recreation Center
• Participants WILL NOT BE ALLOWED access to the facility without their P3 Recreational ID Card

Basketball Court Policies:

• Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian AT ALL TIMES
• Only enrolled participants have access to enter the facility and use the basketball courts. Participants will adhere to the starting and ending times of scheduled courses.
• Participant's access to the Student Recreation Center is only for course use and within a range of 15 minutes prior to and following each course session.
• Up to 2 parents or guardians have access to enter the facility on the first day of class to meet the instructor; afterward, they may wait in the Recreation Center lobby during class.
• Access to other parts of the Student Recreation Center is not permitted.
• No horseplaying, wrestling, punching, pushing, throwing, kicking or dunking is allowed.
• Wear appropriate basketball gym clothes.
• No gum, food, or beverages of any kind (except water) are allowed inside the basketball courts.
• P3 will provide basketballs, but students may bring their own at their own risk.
• P3 instructors, parents, or participants may not use the facility for workouts or extended periods of time unless they purchase an RSD membership at the front desk.
• No hanging from the volleyball net or basketball rim.
• Students who need to change or use the locker room facilities must use the locker room designated for their gender. Male students are not permitted in the women's locker room, and female students are not permitted in the men's locker room. A family restroom is available for use as an alternative facility if needed. Parent or guardian must be accompanied.
