In this one-week camp, young scientists will be immersed in the fantastic world of science with awesome scientific hands-on activities. As they explore different sciences from astronomy to zoology students will build their knowledge and have a blast. They will reveal secret messages, launch Alka-Seltzer rockets high into the air, grow icky bacteria, break open geodes, make marshmallow catapults, design and test a homemade giant roller coaster, and make other things ooze, melt or erupt. Kids will investigate how fun science can be using cool chemical reactions, and creating super slimes and other special effects. The camp will also include a fun STEAM challenge, live animals and more exciting science to explore.

Student must bring their own snacks and beverages.

Grysell Ramos
Grysell Ramos received her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso. She has been a lecturer at UTEP, as well as a laboratory and research coordinator, and has taught organismal/human biology, and vertebrate physiology methods. She has developed courses for P3 that focus on active student learning using hands-on activities; her classes are interesting and understandable.
