The Great Paint Mashup (Entering Grades 1-2)

In this painting class, artists dive into the colorful worlds of acrylic paint and watercolor, discovering how two very different paints can create amazing effects. Participants learn how acrylics can be bold and bright while watercolors flow and blend. Participants will experiment with brush techniques, color mixing, textures, and resist methods. One day students may paint a vibrant landscape with acrylics, the next they might create a soft, dreamy watercolor scene. Along the way, they build artistic confidence, fine motor skills, and an appreciation for how different materials change the look and feeling of art.
