Grab your tools and start digging! Campers will uncover ancient artifacts, explore deserts and tombs, and investigate the science behind rocks and minerals. We will get wrapped up in the science of Ancient civilizations like the Egyptians as we discover more about the mystique and fascination of mummification, canopic jars, hieroglyphics, pyramids, and gold gilded masks. Students can help us create our shrine to Bastet-the cat goddess, excavate for artifacts or jewels, make their own ancient creations like cartouches, mummies, obelisks, pottery, and tombs.

Grysell Ramos
Grysell Ramos received her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso. She has been a lecturer at UTEP, as well as a laboratory and research coordinator, and has taught organismal/human biology, and vertebrate physiology methods. She has developed courses for P3 that focus on active student learning using hands-on activities; her classes are interesting and understandable.
