Get ready to meet some of the coolest creatures on Earth! In this hands-on animal science camp, campers will explore the fascinating world of reptiles through safe, guided interactions with live animals. Campers will examine reptile anatomy, learn the differences between alligators and crocodiles, and discover how to identify venomous and non-venomous snakes. Along the way, they'll learn about reptile diets, eggs, hatchlings, habitats, and other amazing scaly facts. Featured animals may include geckos, lizards, snakes, turtles, tortoises, and other reptile friends.

Grysell Ramos
Grysell Ramos received her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso. She has been a lecturer at UTEP, as well as a laboratory and research coordinator, and has taught organismal/human biology, and vertebrate physiology methods. She has developed courses for P3 that focus on active student learning using hands-on activities; her classes are interesting and understandable.
