Students will pair off to perform dissections to gain a better understanding of animal anatomy and body systems. How do blood vessels work? How do their skin, muscles, and complex organs compare to each other? As we safely investigate each species from fish to squids, frogs to rats, cow eyeballs to snakes and more, we will gain a better understanding of the internal anatomy of different animal species and how they relate to our own body systems. We will also interact with some surprise live animals too.

Grysell Ramos
Grysell Ramos received her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso. She has been a lecturer at UTEP, as well as a laboratory and research coordinator, and has taught organismal/human biology, and vertebrate physiology methods. She has developed courses for P3 that focus on active student learning using hands-on activities; her classes are interesting and understandable.
